King Kong.  Best darn movie I've seen in a long time.  It's got adventure, action, suspense, ginormous bugs, humor, history, romance and the pursuit of beauty.......and I actually enjoyed Jack Black's performance.  Excellent.

My roommate, Alicia, is officially engaged as of the middle of King Kong last night!!  Her rocks give a whole new meaning to "sparkling diamonds".  Wow.

I just went on a walk and was chased down by a little dog and his good looking owner and then was sprinkled on the rest of the way home.  Sweet.

It's a great day.

It's HOT.  The dock at Kohl's is going to be even hotter tonight at work.  ick.  But I only have two nights left before school starts again!!

Kara and I painted our kitchen last night.  It cost us each $7.  That's cheaper entertainment than going to the movies.  How pathetic is that?  So I have successfully gotten rid of all the purple in our house this summer.  That wasn't even on my to do list.  Go me.

Next week I will going to my true summer home....KAA U KNOW!!  I'm stoked.  I miss kamp so much.  I have been waiting all summer and it's finally here. 

Stupid move the week:  I was at my aunt's garage sale Saturday (where I made $44 by the way).  I went and got Sonic drinks for everyone and on the way back, Todd's cherry limeade was dripping into my cell phone compartment.  Well, I didn't realize this until 4 hours later when I went to get my phone to see if I'd missed any calls.  I found it half submerged in cherry limeade-ness.  Nice.  So now it pretty much only works if you call me.  Yeah you.  So call me. 

I'm having a luau this Saturday night.  I invited everyone I could track down through phone or email.  So if you are reading this and are able to come.....get your butt to my house by 6pm!!!  :o)

Confession of sorts.  Update.  Reflection.

I have a problem.  It's called sin.  It makes me do and say things I don't want to and I'm ashamed for it later.  Ok.....I allow it which is even worse.  I want to stop because it pisses me off but Adam and Eve have pretty much made that impossible for me.  Thanks guys.  So God, I need your grace.  Not just to forgive me (because I know you aready have.....you're freaking amazing), but to also help me forgive myself.  Grrrr.

My friend Jaime's wedding this weekend.  It was absolutely amazing.  It could not have been more perfect.  She deserved every minute of it, especially the part where this wonderful man became her husband!!  :o)  He will be great for her.  I love her so much!!  And in more exciting news.....I caught the bouquet!!  No one else even tried.  Losers.

I heart summer.  I have the best job ever to get two whole months off each year.

I just read Matthew 20 where the vineyard owner goes to town to hire people to work in his vineyard.  He goes out at different times during the day yet at the end of the day, no matter how long they worked, they all got paid one day's wages.  The ones that had worked all day protested and they owner replies, "Friend, I haven't been unfair!  Didn't you agree to work all day for usual wage?  Take your money and go.  I wanted to pay this last worker the same as you.  Is it unlawful for me to do what I want with my money?  Should you be jealous because I am kind to others?  So those who are last will be first and those who are first will be last."

So I'm thinking about it......and it does kind of suck for the ones who worked all day long and didn't get paid any more than the ones who worked for an hour.  But the owner needed them all the same.  God needs us and wants us all the same but we don't all join his kingdom at the same time.  Yet we all get the same reward.  Are you going to be like those workers and protest to God that you deserve something more than Heaven?  Please.

I can't promise I'll update anytime soon or ever again.......but I can promise you that I will be enjoying my summer break to the umpteenth degree.  Have a great day.
